Terms of service
Last updated October 10, 2026.
These are the terms for every job Iron Mountain Delivery LLC carries. Booking a job means you agree to them. Figures in bold come straight from our pricing system, so they're always the ones we charge by.
Prices
- Posted prices. Our prices page lists one next-day price between every two towns on our route, and an in-town price for each town. A posted price is for one normal item or load: something that fits in a car, up to 50 lb, going on our next scheduled run.
- Anywhere in town. A posted price covers any address within 2 miles of the middle of the town (6 miles in Missoula). Farther out, the miles past the edge of town, there and back, are added, and your quote shows them before you book.
- Quoted jobs. Anything needed today or right away (today's run never costs less than the next run's price), anything big, heavy or bulky, anything that needs special handling, and anything off our route is quoted for that job. A quote that says we'll confirm it is confirmed with you before anything moves.
- Your quote's link. The reference on a quote (like PKR-TWD) shows its price and towns to anyone. Its addresses, and booking it, open from the link we gave you or from your account.
- Your quote is your price. If the job turns out different from what you told us (bigger, heavier, a different address, a long wait at a counter), we tell you the new price before we do it. You can say no.
Booking and timing
- Next run. Book by 6pm for the next run. The run times on our "Where we go" page are what we aim for, not a guarantee.
- Weather and roads. Western Montana winters close roads and passes. If it isn't safe to run, we hold the job for the next safe run and tell you. If that doesn't work for you, cancel for a full refund.
- Store orders and returns. If we're collecting an order you placed, name Iron Mountain Delivery as the pickup person on it. If the store won't hand it over, or the order isn't ready, we tell you; a wasted trip may be charged at the posted price.
- Canceling. Cancel for free any time before the driver leaves for your pickup.
Shopping, collecting and in-town deliveries
- Who does it. An order we shop for you, collect for you, or deliver in town may be handled by one of our independent shoppers and drivers, in their own vehicle. They work under these terms, and we're responsible for your order the same as if our own driver carried it.
- What you pay for goods. Goods we buy for you are charged at what the store charged, from the receipt, plus our price for the job. We may put a hold on your card for more than the estimate first; only what it came to is taken.
- Substitutes. We swap something only if you said a close substitute is fine. Otherwise it's left out and not charged.
- On the way to the van. Your order may travel in our numbered totes and wait at one of our staging points for the van's run. Questions about it come to us, not to the person shopping.
- Costco orders. You can change or cancel your list until the deadline it shows. We email you when it's placed, and a receipt from Costco's own receipt once it's shopped. It comes on the van on its day; anything that wasn't there isn't charged.
- Costco: price caps. Each Costco item shows a price cap. You pay what Costco charged for it, from the receipt, never more than the cap; we don't mark up groceries. If Costco charges more than the cap that day, we leave it unless you said to buy it anyway, and then you pay the shelf price.
- Costco: your share of the trip. A Costco run is priced as one trip: the drive, the shopping and the deliveries, plus our profit. It's split evenly between every order on that run, so each order that joins makes everyone's share smaller. Card processing on your charge is added on its own. Your share never goes past the one shown when you placed your order. A trip carries up to 10 orders. When the first is full, a second trip goes the same day if at least 5 orders join it, priced as its own trip; if it doesn't reach 5 by the deadline, those orders ride the next week's run, and nothing is held on your card until then.
- Costco: the card hold. Nothing goes on your card until orders close. Then we hold your final share plus the groceries and a little room, and charge only what it came to. If your card is declined then, we text you; if it isn't fixed within the time the text gives, your order comes off that run and your list is kept.
- Costco returns. Costco returns are for Costco store credit only. Your receipt email is your copy of the receipt for a return. We don't take returns back to Costco for you.
- Not through shoppers. We don't shop for or collect alcohol, tobacco, cannabis or prescriptions through our shoppers and drivers.
Business accounts and our account managers
- Who can promise what. Our account managers are independent contractors who introduce businesses to Iron Mountain Delivery and look after their accounts. They can quote our posted prices and prices from our pricing system, and open an account for you. Only the owner of Iron Mountain Delivery can agree to a different price, sign a service agreement, or change these terms, and only in writing.
- Messages from them. A text or email from an account manager comes from our business number or on our letterhead, with their name and title, and is kept on your account like any other message from us. Texts go only to people who've said yes to them; reply STOP to any text to stop them.
What we won't carry
Anything illegal; firearms and ammunition; explosives, fireworks and fuel; hazardous materials; alcohol, tobacco, cannabis or prescription drugs unless the law allows it and we've agreed in advance; live animals; cash, gift cards, or anything worth more than $100 unless we've agreed to it in writing before pickup. We can refuse or stop any job we think is unsafe or unlawful.
Payment
- Cards are taken through Square. We never see or keep your card number.
- Charge accounts for businesses are invoiced on the terms in the account agreement. Cash is accepted only with a numbered receipt from us.
- Nothing is charged until the job is done, except a card hold where your booking says so.
- Card holds last seven days at the card's bank. If your job is still coming after six, we put a fresh hold on for the same amount and release the old one, so your bank may show both for a short while; only one is ever charged.
If something goes wrong
- Loss or damage. We're responsible for what we carry from pickup to drop-off, up to $100 per job, unless we agreed to a higher value in writing before pickup. Tell us within 7 days. Pack fragile things to travel; we're not responsible for damage from packing we didn't do, or for food or anything perishable after it's handed over.
- Late runs. If we miss a run we promised, tell us and we'll make it right, usually by refunding the delivery charge.
- Contact. Call (406) 481-4847, or reply to any text or email from us.
